Dead Writers Theatre Collective's Chamber Series presents fully staged classics in an intimate Cabaret setting, complete with full period costumes, sets and props to provide the viewer a close-up and personal theatrical experience.

Story:  “The Game of Love and Chance,” set in 18 Century Paris, tells the story of Silvia and Dorante, who are engaged to be married but have never met. On paper they are a perfect match, yet each wants to be sure the other is worthy of marriage. To get a better idea of the type of person he is, she trades places with her servant and disguises herself. However, unknown to her, Dorante has the same idea and trades places with his valet. Despite mayhem and social taboos, true love ultimately resolves all. 

Performed in full period costumes with props and furniture in a Cabaret setting.

Story: The play opens on Lady Windermere's 21 birthday.  The Duchess of Berwick delivers the devastating news that Lady Windermere's husband, to whom she has been married for 1 year and with whom she has a 6 month old baby, has been seen visiting another woman's home and spending large sums of money of money on her.  This is a "bad" woman with a past who, through her life choices, has been shunned from proper society has developed a reputation of preying on men.

Lady Windermere breaks into her husband's desk and finds proof of her suspicions with large written to this woman.

This sets into motion a series of events and misunderstandings that bring Lady Windermere to the brink of ruin and places in her path a mysterious woman with whom she unknowingly has a past.
